The Way.....

Monday, October 30
As you all know, I live in South Dakota. The mind thought here is... I'm not too sure. The people vote mostly for the incumbent but when the incumbent gets the power needed to make change they vote them out of office. Uneducated voting is what I call it.

The election is going to get interesting next week here. We will be voting on a number if issue that have life changing consequences. The big one that most know of is the ban on abortion. A clear and present violation of the sacred Constitution. I'm voting to repeal the ban set by the Bonehead in Chief Governor. I see it as an act of idiocy to violate the articles of the Constitution in anyway. To ban abortion in this state will do nothing to save lives, as the supporters will tell you. They will just drive somewhere where it's legal. My stand isn't on the issue of abortion at all. I think abortion is bad but to tell a woman that she isn't smart enough to make that decision of her own free will on what happens inside her body is just wrong. What next... what she can eat? Drink? Be involved with? The day of reconing is approaching.

Next on the ballot is to ban a form of gambling here called "Video Lottery". Video Lottery consists of playing video Poker, Keno, BlackJack, And Bingo to win money. In the agreement to have this form of gambling, the State of South Dakota takes 50% of the profits. Profit estimates have been as high as 380 million annually in which the state reaps half. A "no Brainer" attitude will tell you that the loss of that cash flow will have to be made up somehow most likely in the form of higher taxes for all.

Next is another tobacco tax. We have raised taxes on tobacco too many times. Again I take the stand that tobacco is harmful to your health and bad for others breathing second hand smoke but are we really going to change the perception that higher taxes on tobacco will be a reason to quit? Hell no. I can guarantee that crime will increase for those who can't afford the $7.00 price tag for smokes.

Those are the issues that I am most interested in and will be paying close attention to as should you on the women's rights issue (abortion ban)

Enough of that... I'm happy as a pig in shit to be back telling it my way and hope you comment like you used to. Talk to you later,

Eric

A Long Weekend...

Sunday, October 29
I know you are supposed to enjoy a long weekend. I wish that my long weekend was when I had nothing to do... not a case in point this weekend.

This weekend I attended the South Dakota Emergency Medical Technicians Assn. Yearly conference in Rapid City. I look forward to this conference because you see many that you haven't seen in a while.

Our state has 7 Districts and I live in District 6. Many people travel from the Eastern side of South Dakota, more so than the west. I would give this years conference a 6 out of 10. All of the speakers were excellent and informative. The meal was above average and the feel of the conference itself was pretty good.

If you know me I can just talk about the good... The folks who organize the conference work very hard at it I understand but.. it's their attitude. A better than thou disposition kinda make you look like an asshole. A certain few were like that. So you run with the big dogs for 3 fuckin days big fuckin deal. enough with that.

anyways...

Single.....

Saturday, October 14
Single... Hmm. I'd preferred to have remained married but didn't. It's funny how people react when they hear that you're getting a divorce or just went final with one. At first it's..." Oh... I'm so sorry..." Then it's, " Feels great to be free...Huh? You just mumble something and go about your business.

I get lonely sometimes. Not to the point that I'm listening to the Carpenters or anything so don't worry. I still see the kid on a regular basis and am around abit. Anyways... I'll talk soon.

Hello, I'm back...

Friday, October 13
Sorry for the monumental delay. I have been without a computer for a long time. I have access to one now.

My divorce was final on the 29th of September and all is well. Marnie and I are getting along really good and have discussed the mistakes we made leading up to our eventual demise. I still hate the guy she was making nice with and will always hate him. But the hatred towards my former wife is all but passed. I realized that the marriage as a whole was broken and her contacting and being manipulated by the piece of shit from Bayfield, CO was mostly my fault. Well some of my fault. I still blame Jimmy for the overall distruction of the marriage. He knew that we were married yet he pursued the online relationship nonetheless But anyways...

I now live 17 miles to the southeast in Rapid City with my baby brother Brett. Not to bad. Anyways I'll stop talking about the bad things in my life and hope to get the folks back that used to visit here. I miss this and would like to continue telling my side of things. See ya...
